The experience was ruined by the decision to use the media picker without the option to "Browse..." so I could use the file manager to pick images instead. With the media picker, I'm left scrolling through thousands of images in reverse chronological order or copying my desired images to the one folder media picker can see. The dev has to enable the browse option.
