Sadly the music volume was matched to the settings for the other app, defeating the desired effect. Not sure what this app is meant to do other than drop the media volume for ad a priority for system or notification alerts. The only problem is that if you have a specific app you didn't use for +- 12 hours, then the volume control app will not automatically control the volume that you want it to adjust it to be. So when you listen to your music player and start another app which you have silenced, your music gets silenced too.
