However if you want to read more than one chapter a day or one chapter a week you have to spend money. You can earn 1 point a day by "checking in" but when most chapters cost 4 points, they go quick. I could buy books from a big retail store for cheaper than the cost if I was to buy points. And I read too many other reviews about the "unlimited" option to avoid it. My response to the automated reply... is what "daily tasks"? - **3★ · January 26, 2025** — Edited again: It looks like they finally took advice & came up with a membership. They still have it where the points needed to unlock chapters go up considerably as you unlock new ones. That still feels skeevy to me. It quickly turns into 20 points each chapter. It's basically only worth it to get the subscription (that you have to pay yearly, upfront), which is probably the point. Stories are pretty good, so I think it's worth it, but only for the sub. - **2★ · December 9, 2024** — I'm not a huge fan of the wait times. I'm also not happy about the lack of things to do to get points, other than making purchases. I get it. The app and the authors need to make their money, too. I just don't like reading books in increments, and I don't like spending a buttload of cash to get points that expire if they aren't used right away. The only saving grace... the books are pretty good. This is why I'm bitter about the wait times and the lack of point options 🤷🏼‍♀️ ## About Experience pure joy on the Galatea App! ⭐️ Unlimited access to thousands of delicious romance stories and audiobooks ✨ ⭐️ Absorb yourself with the wildest, hottest romance stories–available whenever, wherever you like ❣️ ⭐️ Your me-time just got a major upgrade with bestsellers added every week ✨ ⭐️ The deepest collection of trending romance genres and tropes 📚 ⭐️ Join a community of 15 million women who read on the Galatea App for a joyful recharge Re-ignite your imagination with stories that excite and delight.
