- **2★ · December 8, 2020** — As a paying subscriber, I expect more from a phone app. Disorganized content and I'm forced to sign in multiple times in a day. Rating this app mediocre is being kind. On my Kindle, the "print version" format is available. It's familiar and very easy to use. I like the AP Press for local content. Corporate sourced national and political content is predictably agenda driven to varying degrees. That aspect can't be avoided in today's world. Free press is the law, not necessarily the practice.

I signed up for a $1 6-month free trial subscription for this app. The problem came when $14.99 was mysteriously whisked out of my account without warning, thus overdrafting my account. My problem is there should have been an email warning me of my 6 month trial subscription ending. That did not happen, I had to call back twice to get my refund and cancel the subscription. Shady business practice
- **2★ · January 5, 2019** — As far as news media apps go, the Asbury Park Press app is pretty sad. We were longtime print subscribers, but watched the press get thinner and thinner while the price went up and up. Got the app so we can still get local news and obituarys, but even for that its a pain (have to pull up from the bottom of the page or scroll through weeks of stale content to reach the site menu at the bottom of the page). Im being generous with 2 stars.
