I've been using it since it was completely free. It has recently become useless. I can't get trails to render on the map. It will not download data which is one of the reasons I pay the subscription. My confidence with this app in new unfamiliar trails is gone. I can't count on Trailforks to get me in or out of trail systems safely. - **1★ · August 10, 2026** — The app is nearly useless without a subscription. You have to download maps but they only allow one region downloaded at a time. I live within biking distance of 4 regions(a total area smaller than many states) so I am unable to use the app without paying for a subscription. They need to define a region as a set boundary length, selected area of the map, not state lines. - **2★ · July 18, 2026** — Its a piece of junk. Can't turn off indigenous layer, if you zoom in the map icon disappears, when you click on it zoomed out it doesn't show the trail. Way too much time fidgeting with this clunky thing. I'll stick with project even though they haven't updated in awhile.
