If you're a fan of these old NES JRPG games you can't miss with this one. I do have a couple of big complaints though. Number one you cannot turn the volume off. You can turn the volume down to 1 but you will always hear the music. Also you can only quick save on the world map and not in dungeons. When playing on a mobile this is unacceptable. This is a direct port of the Nintendo DS version and they really did not do anything extra for the mobile version. - **5★ · September 4, 2020** — I played through the whole game, plus Post-Game content. It's a fantastic story (one of the best in the series) with some of the most memorable characters in the series. It also fixes the botched lack of party speak that the DS failed to have, get this game as soon as you can. This game is the definitive version of Dragon Quest IV and I highly recommend you get it. It really is just a DS port with the party chat feature that was left out in that version. The only thing that truly bugs me is the fact that at the time of this review, the game crashes whenever you use the merchant Torneko's "Appraise" ability. Torneko gives his own unique commentary on the items, but we miss out on that.
