It simply does not work. USB connected, HUR closed out. I can't get wireless to work with the new update. Even with the suggestion from the help section. It keeps closing HUR. either HUR or the new wifi launcher is the issue. ***original*** App keeps breaking the android wifi connection. I keep getting wifi connected, no internet. The only resolution is to wipe the system clean and start all over again. I was hoping the beta would fix the issue but it didn't. - **3★ · August 29, 2025** — some settings can't be adjusted. it's utilizing a volume adjustment as your vehicle speed increases, which I can't find out how to disable. I never asked for it, nor desired it. it's way too strong, so I'm now constantly adjusting the car volume to offset, which gets annoying map can't be zoomed spotify has extremely limited utility, can't pick anything else other than what's already playing. but it might just be enough to avoid upgrading my head unit, and may be useful on a motorcycle. - **1★ · October 17, 2023** — Constant crashes, requires cache clearing and fiddling. The trial version was decent, but the paid one doesn't even resemble it in terms of looks and functionality. And it just doesn't work as it should. After some serious trial and error, I managed to get it to function, but only after fiddling with different connection modes and repeatedly force-stopping it and clearing the cache. USB Mode Plug in the USB to your device (in case of tablet use an OTG cable), when prompted make sure you allow HUR to be the default app for the action and you check the always box. If you are running the app on a device with Android 7.0 or higher, you might need to pull down the notification bar and select the connected USB device before the app starts (this is device dependent) Wifi Install WiFi Launcher app on the phone! In WiFi Launcher select the cars BT, so app starts automatically Enable hotspot option in WiFi Launcher, connect your car's unit to the phones hotspot and open HeadUnit Reloaded (you can reverse the hotspot / client roles as well if you wish) Self Mode (when Android Auto and HUR are running on the same device) - Open HUR and press Self-mode (make sure you have Android Auto installed on the device you are trying to achieve this) FAQ / Troubleshoot All I get is a black screen - If you are using an Android powered headunit (Joying, Xtrons, etc) look for a setting on your device which allows Video Playback during drive - Try changing HUR settings and enable Software decoding Compatible with: Joying, Eonon, Grom Vline, Xtrons, PX5 and PX3 units, A-Sure, RK3188 units, RK3066 units, Avin and other Android powered head units.
