If you hit the No Thanks option you are still given an ad, and the game is slow for multiple seconds after the ad. Then, it gives you breaks (great idea) with the 'option' to watch an ad and get a reward. If you select 'no' it will make you watch an ad anyways. If you die, you watch an ad. If there was one ad every couple times you died that's one thing, but there's literally (several a game) "break times" in the middle of the game, where you're forced to watch an ad to keep playing!
