I enjoy being able to look at a mountain and know the name and distance from me. I paid for it once (about the cost of a draft beer) several years ago and have never seen an ad since. When I visit a new area I can download the new data and identify mountains without having any wireless service. You won't regret this purchase.

Doesn't orient correctly, so you have to know what peaks you're looking at in order to figure out what peaks you're looking at -- which defeats the entire purpose of the app. This is a major flaw and therefore not worth the price of admission. Wish I could get a refund. Running on Google Pixel 7 Pro and this is the only app using GPS that can't orient itself correctly.
- **3★ · August 29, 2020** — Well, another failed attempt to use this app. I've 100% downloaded the required data to use this app a while back. An update must have required the data to be downloaded again because as with every time I've summited a peak, and opened the app to see the names of all the peaks you can see the app doesn't work because it needs to download the 200MB of data again. You don't have service that far off the grid so it's useless. It's my fault for not double-checking...but just a fair warning.
