Only once did I have an issue pairing and when I did have issues, I was sent a new sensor quickly. It's at least a 24 hr burn in period and I check against a finger stick every morning. Will they match not usually but they are close. Remember you're measuring two differnt things blood glucose and interstitial glucose. They might be very different in the burn in period but for me it usually settles in after 24-28 hrs. The old app layout was fine and honestly there was not much to improve. But like so many others Dexcom forced AI into the picture. Don't want AI don't need AI. Don't want AI's grubby tentacles on my PHI. And there seems no way to turn it off. This alone will make me think twice about using Stelo in the future and going back to only fasting finger sticks in the morning. If some want it fine, but not everyone will. At least give us users the option turn off AI and keep our PHI/data from being used for training. I'm on my last sensor and will likely delete my account after I get its data. AI-ification of everything needs to stop or at least we consumers need to have the means to opt out. Health privacy matters more than most think! Looked at the reviews for Abbott's Lingo CGM. Happier users that like their app. 4.5 stars. This looks like an easy decision where to spend my money. - **2★ · Don’t like the new modern update · August 8, 2026** — I literally never write reviews for apps. I’ve used this app for a few years and there was nothing wrong with the original version- it was easy to use and understand. This new “sleek, modern” design is awful. I’m young- in my 20s, and this is hard for me to read and know what I’m looking at. I don’t like that the background is dark. The blood sugar marker points are too small, almost like it’s too zoomed out, and I can’t seem to be able to fix or change that. Every time I open the app it seriously takes me several seconds to understand what I’m looking at and I really have to study what it’s showing me. I don’t appreciate this update, I don’t like that it appears as if it’s in “nighttime” mode, blood sugar points are too small, too zoomed out and hard to read. Please go back to the original version and/ or give users the options to make blood sugar points larger and change the background color. Makes me not want to use this app!! - **5★ · Excellent with a few bugs · September 4, 2026** — Type 2 diabetic, have used Stelo since June 2026. The sensor and app info have been life changing for me. I may go off medication as my glucose is now so well controlled based on what I’ve learned. Sensor usually has first day of high variability, then generally is accurate compared to finger stick. My first two sensors were off by 10-15 points, but that resolved when I figured out the best place to apply them on arm. The app basic info is terrific. It’s so useful to track specific meals and events and see their impact. I agree with other reviewers that it would be nice to have option of dark vs light screen, and I don’t like the loss of time resolution when viewing longer periods on the basic glucose plot in latest app. I actually like the AI comments. For meal entry there are a few bugs when ai selects a high sugar version of a food instead of the sugar-free version I listed, and other bugs. But persisting I can usually get a reasonable report. And it’s great to see daily nutrition info in the main page.
