The app improved immensely. There is a new Community tab that allows you to say what's going on where you are. I'm not so into that, although I might be at certain times of the year. On that tab, the bell icon comes in handy to either receive, or not receive, requests to confirm entries by others. In winter, where I live, within a mile, or less, it is possible to have few feet, o a few inches, or a dusting of snow. It will make the Community tab more interesting.

VERY worth the $25/3yr subscription. I give THAT "Premium" version of the app 5-stars. Great app. Reliable, full featured. Powerful, very customizable, lots of notifications to choose from. Great radar, (history and forecast). Not quite as great if you run the free version; I frankly would not recommend... Maybe 2-stars? Unrelated, but in all fairness, great customer service, if you wind up needing it. Kind and polite.

Information is there and the app looks nice. The next two updates need to be the widgets/widget customization and making more information available at a glance. Scrolling shouldn't be involved when I want to see the forecast for the next 12 hours. Assuming updates are done quickly the app should be a great replacement for dark sky. edit: I paid back in the day for a lifetime subscription and now there are ads and I have to pay again for a limited amount of time. No thanks.

Hyperlocal Weather — the weather app for people who don't want "maybe" forecasts. See exactly how much it rained at your location, hour by hour. Two elite forecast engines in one app: Apple WeatherKit + Foreca. WeatherKit: the legendary Dark Sky technology, pushed to its peak by Apple Foreca: ranked among the most accurate forecast providers in the world. Switch anytime, compare side by side, and trust what performs best where you live.
💧 Rain Gauge — your rainfall time machine Better than a physical rain gauge: see how much it actually rained at your exact location. Virtual rain gauge will help you how much rainfall at your land. Check daily totals on a color-coded rain calendar, explore the interactive rainfall map, and tap-and-hold for totals at any point on the map. Review the last 24/48/72 hours with wind and precipitation type, and compare rainfall totals across your saved locations.
✅ Custom Notifications — built by you Rain, wind, frost, UV and more. You pick the threshold, you pick the hours. The difference? Your alerts can fire on real readings from nearby weather stations 🛰️ — not just forecasts. Tailor-made, right down to the station.
✅ Minute-by-Minute Rain Forecasts Know exactly when rain will start and stop, down to the minute — at your exact location. Perfect for commuting, dog walks, sports, school runs, and travel.
✅ Multi-Provider Forecasting (WeatherKit + Foreca) Not all forecasts are created equal — and your location deserves the best match. Switch providers anytime and compare results side by side to find the most trustworthy forecast for your area. More sources, more confidence.
✅ Hurricane, Severe Storm & Lightning Tracking When severe weather hits, you need more than a warning — you need the full picture. Track hurricanes and storms in real time on the live interactive map, watch the radar forecast to see what's coming next, and follow every strike with the lightning tracker.
✅ Live Weather Station Observations See what's actually happening right now — not just what a model predicts. Hyperlocal Weather pulls real-time data from the nearest meteorological stations, so you can check current conditions straight from official ground-level sources.
✅ Ultra-Detailed Hourly Weather Graphs Temperature, precipitation, wind, air quality and more — live, zoomable, and easy to read.
✅ Advanced Map Layers Weather radar, hurricane, lightning, satellite clouds, wind, air quality, pollen (limited regions), UV index, sea level pressure, sea temperature. A full weather lab in your pocket.
✅ Widgets + Clean, Fast Design Customizable widgets and a modern interface built for speed, clarity, and day/night readability.
If you loved Dark Sky… You'll love Hyperlocal Weather. It carries the precision mindset forward — then upgrades it with multiple providers, live station data, rainfall history, and deep visuals. It's the weather app Dark Sky fans have been waiting for.
— On Wear OS — Hyperlocal weather right on your wrist: current conditions, next-hour rain forecast, hourly and 5-day forecasts, weather charts, and a local radar map. Includes a Tile for glanceable weather and a Complication that shows the temperature on your watch face.
Download Hyperlocal Weather and know exactly what the sky is doing — and what it just did.
