Uninstalled because life saving information (the alerts) is placed behind a subscription service. A one-time payment I could possibly understand. Edit: the review still doesn't show up in the play store, only my email. Either way, the subscription model for this is pretty gross. Raise the one-time payment price to offset your costs, rather than a subscription.

Worst app experience ever. After I paid for one month (that was the only option it gave instead of a longer one) it wanted me to register. Well it refused to accept my email address despite several attempts. Had this app for 45 minutes & nothing worked on it. Glad I wasn't able to purchase the 12 months. Did I mention that at the start, it kept popping up with instructions where you click "Next"... yet I had to click the next area multiple times before it would move on to the next one.

Purchased the premium version of StormWatch+ because I moved out of the city and into a rural area. I wanted a way to be notified of the bad weather changes since our Spring is pretty volatile. The app has been crashing a lot lately with the April 2025 storms. I'll get alarms for some notifications (severe thunderstorm warning/flood watch-warning) but have not had the alarm go off when we were under a tornado warning. Literally the most important. App was active and no do not disturb was on.

SW+ Alerts is a life-saving service that sends you push notifications whenever hazardous weather threatens your specific location. Once again relying on the expertise of over 2,000 NWS meteorologists nationwide, SW+ Alerts compares multiple specific locations you select with weather watches and warnings issued by your local NWS office. Alerts are sent to the app ONLY if you are in the path of hazardous weather, eliminating the confusion associated with county-wide warning sirens or NOAA Weather Radio alerts. Simply tapping on a push alert will show your location with respect to the warning boundaries on a map, as well as display the full text of the alert. In addition, “wake-me-up” audio and voice alerts will sound for the most severe warnings.^
