Skullcandy

I’ve been using skullcandy buds in general for some time now, granted I spring for cheaper because I can’t afford the nicer pairs. But, every pair I’ve gotten just.. isnt supported. Not even an alternate version of the pairs are supported either. I just want to adjust the settings on touch controls to allow for a better experience, or see their battery percentage, or what-have-you, but I can’t. I understand there are limits to whats achievable, but from a consumer standpoint; I don’t really get it? I’ve had experiences with others who allow way more range on what products you can use in-app mods for (wont name any names, but I’m sure it’s not hard to deduce if anyone’s used other brands). I don’t see why they can’t just.. slowly integrate a wider range of support with time. It isn’t just this app either, the new skullcandy app Also doesn’t support my new buds. Just a really sad experience, since the earbuds themselves are wonderful! (Smokin’ buds, by the way) I know theres a support link that leads to a website, but (granted I havent explored it), it seems more geared toward troubleshooting and customer support, outwardly. I don’t wanna trouble someone (or worse, talk to a shoddy ai) about how I can’t change my touch controls. Not the worst app layout or app approach I’ve seen, for navigation. But still very disappointing as a whole.

i had my crusher plyr 720’s for like 4 months now and they connected flawlessly to the skullcandy app. it’s been a few days since i last used them, so i pick them up and find out that they don’t connect like they had just forgotten about the app. not sure if it’s my phone or the headphones but it keeps saying that i need to be in close proximity when they are LITERALLY not even more than half a foot away from my phone. was in pairing mode and all, and just wanted to stop

I never write reviews but I have had this app for years trying to use it for my Indy Evos. It says it can pair and the Evos have advanced features you can only access through the app but only if it pairs with the app. I have tried connecting them numerous times only to be met with the message cannot connect. I have put them close to my phone expecting that to help with connection and it doesn’t change a thing. I have uninstalled the app as well as disconnected my Evos numerous times with no more success. I would like to use the advanced features of my Evos but you can only do so if it connects with this useless app. It makes the features utterly useless. It makes no sense as this app has been around for so long but it never pairs with the Evos. You would hope it would have been developed to actually allow the user to use the features that came with the device you bought but it does not. Poorly made app and poorly executed development. If I could rate it a zero I would.
