Top notch app… almost elite.
This is one of those apps that you get and want to keep because it does what it says and the rewards outweigh the effort. With that being said, it’s beginning to start making changes that are starting to go the opposite way. They are starting to make it harder for individuals to earn the rewards. You used to have to upload 10 receipts for the $10 reward and now you get a certain amount for different categories of receipts. For example (and this isn’t exactly accurate just an example) if you upload a receipt from Home Depot you get $0.75 towards the $20 reward and if you upload a receipt from a gas station you might get $0.15 towards the max $10 receipts reward. Instead of each valid receipt you upload being valued at $1 towards your max $10 reward. Which I think is an understandable change for them to make but I have to mention it as one of the changes they’ve made and that it makes a user have to upload a substantially higher amount of receipts. But I still love this app so far. They give you the rewards fast and reliably.

Consistent undervaluing receipts and rejections
I will not complain about them decreasing the value of receipts. Yes it is absolutely infinitely harder to get $10, I agree. I will say the surveys generate a lot more money now. I’ve been a member for six years . They are a company they are free to alter this program. I don’t like it, but this is not my company. What I will complain about is the app’s inability to correctly read receipts. I’ve noticed that competitor retail receipts are routinely rejected (Walmart specifically). I had to submit one six times for it to be approved. In the reasons for rejection I normally can’t read receipt or there isn’t a receipt. I get emailed receipts with item descriptions prices everything is exceedingly clear. I won’t speculate on the reason for the repeated rejections……. Another example of program errors include the consistent undervaluing of stores. JCrew is a clothing store. It is not a specialty store…. It is not a pet store. The receipt should be worth one dollar.. I am particularly aggravated because every time I request reconsideration it still comes back as a specialty store. It is particularly aggravating they cannot correctly categorize this because I shop there frequently. Another company oats overnight where I make a large purchase, every single month is consistently found to be invalid. The company also does not come up when you search receipts. This is a specialty product. I’m thankful they finally fixed the issue with EXPRESS. I do wish they would fix their store categorization issues

Appreciate the rewards but no support to address glitches
The app is great and an easy way to submit receipts towards gift cards. But in recent months the app rejects receipts randomly and because review requests are automated, they rarely change decision. I can upload two receipts from the same vendor, exact same format and it will say one receipt is blurry or is missing a vendor. Meanwhile they’re eReceipts, so how can they be blurry, and when another one from the same vendor submitted in the same fashion wasn’t? There is no in-app support, only to request a call back, which will connect you to an agent who has no idea about the app and will ultimately tell you they don’t offer support for it and can’t help you. I’ve had this app for a few years and have seen receipt values drop significantly and certain categories eliminated completely. That’s fine, but when the app starts randomly rejecting receipts (and I’m not talking about poorly photographed paper receipts, I’m talking about email receipts where they’re accepting others from the same retailer), it really warrants some app work. Even if live chat can’t be offered, at least provide a way to submit for human review. Not everything has to be AI managed.

About Amazon Shopper Panel

The Amazon Shopper Panel is an opt-in, invitation-only program where participants can earn monthly rewards by sharing receipts from purchases made outside of Amazon or completing short surveys about your opinion on brands or products that may be of interest to you.
Earning rewards is easy. Simply upload eligible receipts by using the Amazon Shopper Panel app to take pictures of paper receipts or by forwarding email receipts to [email protected] and you’ll earn up to $10 per month towards either an Amazon Balance or a charitable donation. You’ll earn rewards each month for every survey you complete and if you turn on ad verification on your mobile device you'll receive more, relevant surveys each month based on the ads you see from Amazon. Ads from Amazon can include Amazon’s own advertising or third-party businesses that advertise through Amazon Ads. Space is limited and you may only be eligible to participate in certain parts of the program. You can check if you are eligible by tapping on the Receipts or Surveys tabs, or by visiting Ad verification in the panel app's settings.
Your participation will help brands offer better products and make Amazon ads more relevant.
Participation in the Amazon Shopper Panel is voluntary and panelists can stop using the app, sharing receipts, answering survey questions, or enabling ad verification at any time.
The Amazon Shopper Panel is available to a limited number of Amazon customers who are 18 years of age or over and in the US. If you received an invitation, download the app now. Interested customers who did not receive an invitation can download the app to join the waitlist and will be notified via email if space becomes available. Learn more: http://panel.amazon.com
