Bro, I legit made a song for my girl with Shomm so here’s the thing, my girlfriend is super into grand gestures from rom-coms like flowers, love letters, all that cute stuff. i’m not really the serenading type but I wanted to surprise her with somethin special. checked some apps and figured i’d give Shoom a try. I threw in some lines about us, described that I want some chill acoustic vibe, and next thing I know, I’m sending her an actual song I “made” and she loved it! she thought I went full Ed Sheeran for a sec. seeing her laugh and happy like that? totally worth it!! it wasn’t about making the perfect song, it’s the fact I took the time, right? I’ll def be using this again :smirk: 10/10, apps like this are awesome for surprising your loved ones and making them feel special :cupid:

Disappointing & more….
I was excited to try this app! AND I was willing to pay a subscription fee. (Which I did for one week.) But I’m going to save you the trouble….dont do it unless you just WANT to spend $$. Let me tell you why-bc on top of the subscription fee, which weekly it’s 6.99, I think. It might be more but it’s def not less than that. Anyway, on top of the fee, you have to BUY CREDITS. Don’t ask me what the subscription fee is for, bc if I have to buy credits to use the app what the heck am I paying for with the weekly fee?? Like I said, disappointing. Oh yea, they also don’t tell you that you have to buy credits until after you have subscribed. The whole situation was bad imo so much so that I don’t even have anything to say about the actual app except don’t get duped like I did. PS. Even with a paid subscription, it’s never a whole song. And it takes multiple credits for one song request. If it’s too expensive to maintain the app, why even make it? You guys need to pick a lane, charge a subscription fee or just sell the credits.

DON’T DOWNLOAD IF YOUR NOT WILLING TO SPEND $1 AND CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION WITHIN A WEEK!! I saw a reviewer 1 star them due to the app requiring a person to read the app’s lyric script and come up with your own melody. Which made me laugh. People who aren’t musically gifted or proficient over here hoping to make bangers with AI when they aren’t musicians. I am a vocalist, so out of curiosity I downloaded to try it out, see how good it is. I accepted terms and conditions, and before getting to any Home Screen, a payment screen popped up saying “try for a week for $.99”. And if you or your kid/teen forgets to cancel, it goes to $9.99/week aka more than $40/month and $550/year (ludicrous). I figure the developer will respond with their better “pay for a year” price but it’s still wildly overpriced. I’m sure plenty of dumb kids/teens will fall for this greasy tactic of Shooms. I could dive deeper into this apps shady business plan/approach but I’ve already written a novel. Don’t download the app unless you’re willing to spend money. Won’t work otherwise.
