Chispa: Dating App for Latinos

It took a year of having the app but I finally found what I was looking for the most amazing man I’ve ever been with! My now boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year and a half he’s everything I was looking for in a man. My son and I are moving in with him and his daughter in February 2024. He’s amazing to me and my son, he loves us and we love him. I never thought I would honestly find MY PERSON on this app but I had faith and the waiting was very much worth wild. I worked on my self for the longest time to prepare for meeting him someone I could give my all too. Give this app time, you will meet someone who deserves your time and attention and someone who actually reciprocates your feelings and puts in effort to show you they are serious about you. It took years of dating, two toxic relationships and being treated like trash to realize what I deserve. Their is someone out there for every one we have both been through bad break ups and betrayal, but I’ve never been so happy to see someone when they get home from work, I’ve never loved kissing someone so much, I’ve never looked at any man and been super proud of the person they are, and proud to be their girlfriend but I am super proud to be my man’s girl. I love him, and am very thankful for this app thank you sooooooooo much I’m in the first healthy relationship I’ve ever been in and I plan to keep it that way. We both know our relationship is different than our past. Thank you chispa!!!!!

***My Review Before***/ Update Below** I signed up for this app because I finally wanted to put myself out there and meet someone latino. I created my profile and browsed through some potentials. I was even starting to chat. The images that I posted were recent pictures of myself that were very decent and not lewd at all, I’m a mother and try to keep myself classy. Within maybe 2 hours after creating the account, I decide to sign up for a 1 month trial. Chispas then disabled my account out of nowhere. I sent them an email and after what seemed like a week, they replied back saying my account will be terminated without really explaining why, only to view “terms of use”. Now I’m out 20 bucks and didn’t get a chance to meet anyone in the app. Maybe it is a good app but I will never get that experience to find out. I signed up just because finally i was feeling brave and wanted to meet someone. I don’t do dating apps and Chispas just shattered that experience. ***Update*** After I wrote this review, I rep wrote back to me and finally help me resolve the issue. I’ve met someone from the App and so far we are doing great. I’m happy and definitely recommend the app!!

I like the app because it’s specifically made for latinos or spanish speakers (although there is a lot of false repping amongst users) and I’ve had some good success on it. My issue is, say you open the app for the day and start swiping. The first 10-20 people you see will be in your designated range that you set, for example mine is set to a max of 30 miles. After those 10-20 though, it’ll start showing you people 100, 150, 200, even 300 miles away despite you clearly determining the max distance in the app’s settings. But then the next day you open the app, the process will start over. The matches progressively get further and further away the more you use the app in one day. On top of that, for example it tells me I have 65+ matches “waiting” for me to match with. Yet as Im swiping, the app is designed to intentionally NOT show you those people who have already tried to match with you. Instead it shows you someone 200 miles away, in an attempt to make you pay for the “elite” service. Ive paid for a 1 month subscription 1 time, and it even showed me people I already swiped left to, or disliked. Now, in the free version, it just keeps showing me the same people ive already swiped left to. It is designed to make you want to pay for the premium services. You have to use it strategically if you do download it, once you start seeing matches 100+ miles away its time to close the app for the day and wait til tomorrow. Its a 40% love 60% hate relationship with this app for me
