Extortion of money and the stealing of profiles by professional criminals

I feel you are not working harder to protect us from these criminals. They have the ability to steal or buy eligible profiles from POF. After saying no to the the person who led me on and then asked for money, I was bombarded on your website with many profiles that were not the person that was in the profile. The key is the change in Grammerton and writing style and an urgency to get you off line. I have learned. When I did not cooperate with these profiles, I have been getting Robo calls from all over the world; 30 or more calls a day. Can’t prove it but quite a coincidence. I saw this profile yesterday and when I tried to find instructions on how to delete him, he immediately blocked me from his profile. You have work to do. I know 3 women who have been extorted out of money and these are smart professional women, tOne I had referred to POF. The profile That started this for me says he is from Miami, fl and he lives downtown. He is a PhD and an engineer. He is Greek. He is 70 and has round face and light brown hair And curls that gram his face. He looks like he is in his 50s. His story when he writes you is that he lost his wife and daughter in a car crash and he is raising a young granddaughter. He. Does international work and travels all over the year. He sent me a picture of him and his little girl. I think he is from an Eastern Block country. Most of the calls I have been getting are From those areas.

    Needs some changes

Couple of things, the Your Matches should not be showing me a majority of users that ‘Wouldn’t Date a Smoker’ when one lists that they smoke often. It’s a total waste of my time to be reviewing these profiles to find at the very bottom the person wouldn’t date a smoker. Not to mention, this information is hidden to non-upgraded users, so if one is not upgraded, how much time are they wasting for the other person sending messages to someone that would never date them? This should also be an option in the refine search. Speaking of the search, if a person puts in show me users within X amount of miles, don’t automatically expand the search if there are not enough users within that parameter. If I’m only going to date people with 25 Miles of me why would you expand the search and show me people 100 miles away?? If there is not enough users that fit my parameters fine, show me the ones that do and stop. Time is valuable to everyone and there are features of this app that waste a ton of it with results that just don’t fit what you’re looking for because you arbitrarily decide to mix in. Also your block feature is useless if the person you block can still view your profile. I moved and had a user blocked and just received a notice that she ‘liked’ me. So now she knows where I live again. Thanks for the great safety feature.

A game within the game, but then…

Nine months ago, I began to explore the idea of dating in general and, specifically, online dating. Back then (wow, that sounds so long ago) there seemed to be a bit more real profiles. I chatted with a few women and then put everything on hold so I could process my thoughts about the experiences. Some months later, I revisited and quickly discovered the game within the game… not only the game of realizing that these types of apps typically result in shallow connections, but the game of realization that even the “selfie verified” profiles most often involved fake images. It takes some effort and a little bit of skill to zoom in on the profile photos by zooming in on the outer edges of the screen. Within almost all of the photos that looked real overall, my zooming revealed subtle AI errors, such as double rows of teeth within certain parts of the mouth and certain fingers appearing longer than they should or even curled unnaturally… but, way back nine months ago, one of those women was quite real. We gradually transitioned our conversation to a different platform and… The rest is history. We are partners enjoying a very real, three dimensional life together through lighthearted texts and calls, and have now spend time together locally five times. We are deepening our relationship through the Paired couple’s app that fosters daily conversations about compatibility and creating a better understanding of each other for live conversations, physical activities like Pickleball, and… building a relationship together over these past nine months.
