Informative & Accurate
I really like this app. It gives a clip of the 911 call, with a written summary so you don’t have to listen to the entire call. It rates the most trending stories, and you can choose to get local or nationwide alerts. I haven’t seen any ads, it’s free, and it doesn’t run my battery down! It even includes a map of where the call originated. A few suggestions: I wish that the clip of the calls were longer, and that you could sort or search calls (although they are tagged by event type). I had to call 911 for the fire dept and it included a Google maps photo of my home, which was a little concerning (but no names were listed.) Overall, I recommend this app and would even pay for it!

So close to 5 stars
They used to include the entire address of the scanner calls, and now they blur them out. I understand privacy, but then I just spend time going to the actual scanner call and finding it anyway. This isn't helpful at all because often times for my town, we get scanner calls on the app from different towns (like we get Main St calls from another town with Main St) that populate on the app. I used to listen to the full address to see if this was actually in the area. Also, the pinpoints aren't always accurate. That's another thing that showing the full address would help with. We have a highway that has pinpoints in the same area constantly--most recently, a 4 vehicle accident. I almost avoided this area, until a Facebook post revealed it was way on the OTHER end of the highway, about 7 miles north. They are also missing calls on here due to the pin point issue (like if we have Nelson St, a different town would get OUR calls if they also have Nelson St). Overall it's a 5 star idea of an app, and would've given 4 stars before they took the full address away. The pinpoints being inaccurate and not hearing the address defeats most of the purpose.

Issues that need fixed
I’m leaving a one star review because there are issues within the map that need to be fixed within the next update such as the filter setting selection needs to have a permanent save option. I’m tired of dealing with it auto correcting back to 14 days after I exit the application, another big issue with the map would be the incident markers after the incident happens it should take about five minutes for the icon to pop up along with the information instead it takes an hour or more which is unacceptable when trying to follow an incident that happens in real time, not an hour after it happens. Until these issues get fixed within the next update or two it will continue to be one star and I will be using the crime map on the NewsBreak app at least their my filter settings that I choose will stay until I decide different even if I close out the application and there’s only a 30 minute difference from when the incident occurred in real time.
