CNN Weather

5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love the CNN Weather app! It has a really nice, clean design that’s super easy to use. The forecasting feels accurate (at least in theory — it’s been spot on for my area lately), and everything loads quickly with great visuals and straightforward info. I’m not even a big fan of the CNN network overall, but I have to give credit where it’s due — you guys nailed the weather app. The CNN Weather team is great and clearly knows what they’re doing. It’s become my go-to app for checking conditions and forecasts. My only real wish is that you’d release a dedicated iPad app (or at least better optimize it for the bigger screen). That would make it perfect. Overall, it’s a fantastic app. Highly recommend! Keep up the great work.

8/21 update- They fixed the push notifications which addresses what was originally a big oversight during the launch. Hopefully home screen/lock screen widgets are on their way as well. Have updated the rating by 1 star to reflect the improvement already. Let me start by saying I love the app and am willing to make it the daily weather app but it’s needs some more work before that happens. Notifications do not work at all. They advertise in the App Store photos that it gives push notifications for storms but after 2 severe storms in the northeast here, not a single notification. If the NWS issues a watch/warning, you don’t get a notification for those either. Also wish they would work on including lightning strike/detection for the radar because it’s a nice safety feature to have in a weather app in my opinion. It’s a beautiful weather app all around and their effort to provide stories on why the weather will be a certain way in areas of the country is amazing. As they continue to update, they’ll quickly become a powerhouse of an app.

This app is everything I've always wanted a weather app to be. It's like I had a vision in my own head but didn't think it was possible until I downloaded this after being surprised that CNN had a weather app. It's so gorgeous and thoughtfully crafted and just so pure and simple and elegant. And the little weather news rectangles are a nice well-integrated touch too. Very very satisfied with this app. Highly polished and beautiful design. Super smooth and user friendly too. 100% recommend
