Usage of this app:
To understand, the app is real time. It is of great ease to use. It has plenty of older earth quakes then the immediate earthquakes, though sadly, through the updates, it’s harder to see past earthquakes which are beyond the old time frame which means that one may go without noticing a few earthquakes that they have happened if one doesn’t check the timeline something like every three days. Since it is immediate, it usually allows you to see earthquakes which are not typically entered in world wide news or not timely entered in world wide news. This however is Only for Earthquakes. Please use another app for other World Wide disasters or to manage to see the effects in the socio economic spectrum of the regions near the earth quakes. (They do show roads, that being said…) Also, fue things I have noticed is that the general naming of the area the earthquake has gotten better with updates and is doing the best within the frames of the published names of areas, as some may have names that are not the official ones. The app tries to also do it’s best within the range of contested lands, and other factors. The app is pretty nice…

Tracking earth quakes has never been easier.
Years ago I moved off the west coast because I understood the magnitude of danger living near major fault lines most my 60+ years. I and family survived the 1971 Sylmar quake, The 1989 Loma Prieta and 1994 Northridge quakes. Because I know what’s coming for California I moved to a safer location on the east coast. Regretfully, I left so much family and all my good friends. Now I need a way to be notified when the “big one” hits and know that once it does, all communication is gonna get jammed up out west. This makes the earthquake app one of the most important to me. I just hope the app servers are hardened against failure during these destructive events. I wouldn’t trust it as an early warning notification tool, at least until I study the response time data and I’m sure how to do that,..yet🤔🥇

Not sure I'm getting readings
I live in DC, which is not exactly in an earthquake zone. But we did have a noticeable one many years ago and recently I became curious about quakes and downloaded this tracker just for fun. This morning I saw a headline of a 1.8 quake about 20 miles from my home. The app was set to notify me of quakes above 3.0. so I changed my setting. I was hoping to see the quake listed following the change, but I didn't. Developers is this a flaw in the app, or is that how it's supposed to work? I'm wondering if I can trust it, so 2 stars for now. UPDATE- my bad. I was hoping to see the quake after I had lowered my setting to 1.8 but the developer replied that it does not work retroactively. If we ever do have a quake of 1.8 or more I look forward to seeing it on the map. I'll try to remember to write another update if and when that occurs but given my location don't hold your breath 😊. Thank you developers - keep up the good work.
