    Fake Accounts

I seriously enjoy this game. I collect many different kinds of items from action figures, sports cards, redline Hot Wh**ls, etc. so naturally this collective of Marvel and Topps is right up my alley. What I do not enjoy is the numerous fake accounts that individuals open to collect the “starter mission gold” to purchase packs in order to accumulate “super rare digital cards.” Then these individuals trade them to their actual account. The odds of opening a pack of cards without spending diamonds with a super rare card is anywhere between 1:40 - 1:120 packs. Now these accounts always have the same avatar and usually a very low card count while only having cards from the same type of pack for example the “Inception pack.” These individuals spend the coins on one pack over and over then trade the desired cards to themselves. If someone offered me a super rare card for a base card I would be extremely shocked, excited and bewildered. It takes time and coins to get a super rare so it doesn’t make sense to trade them away for a card of no value. So I actually sent trades of my super rare cards to these phantom accounts to see if someone would actually accept the outrageous trade. As I suspected, nobody ever responds to these trades. The reason that this is bothersome is when I’m searching for an individual to trade with for a fair trade of my duplicate for their needed duplicate but half of the players that pop up are these phantom, Antman avatar, low score, fake accounts. This makes finding an actual player to trade with twice as difficult and time consuming.

    Too many variants

The base color variants are out of control. Complete overkill. Also, to Spend coins on a particular set and get cards from completely unrelated sets. Like buying garbage pail kids cards and getting basketball cards instead. Speaking as a forty year old idiot who has already dropped a couple hundred bucks on these digital cards as some way to relive the 90’s, I realized that I already spend more on these half sets as I would have buying complete physical sets off eBay. The odds are deliberately high, the fusions are deliberately redundant. The cards themselves are kinda lame for the most part. Some are fantastic but there’s a majority of characters that no one cares about but more known heroes like night crawler doesn’t have a single card. I’m not totally trashing the app, but I do feel ripped off for buying as many diamonds as I did and getting repeat cards that I’ve not gotten just 2 or 3 of but 14 or 15 of. I’m saying to the developers to offer a few more cards per pack, extend the expiration of the sets and offer better art and characters. Maybe offer some bonus cards for people like me with buyers remorse. And one final note… odds 1:5 should mean that buying 10 I should have received 2 not 0. This has happened a ton. If you don’t spend money on diamonds you don’t have a gripe and it’s just a great app. Maybe an option to transfer cards to an nft wallet in the future will be a nice feature. Overall great idea and solid money maker. Just give a little more and give me my night crawler

    Fun but with minor issues

I really like this game, I do not play a lot of games on my phone so I’m glad I found this. Minor issues are: it took awhile to figure out certain features (had to google a couple times), the coin prices on packs have gone up and the odds on super rare and epic have increased making it frustrating at times when you’re not getting anything (epics haven’t even been available at times unless you buy with diamonds), some of the terms for trading aren’t self explanatory (such as voided vs canceled) so you may have some trades inexplicably voided or canceled (a google search was helpful in explaining the terms) and lastly the opportunities for earning coins aren’t plentiful and the amount earned for tasks and such isn’t a lot especially considering the inflated prices on packs. Now the good: this game is fun and I feel like I actually get something tangible (even if digital), so when I do splurge and spend actual money I don’t feel like it was wasted. Most of the time the artwork for the packs are great and exciting. And lastly once you learn the ins and outs of trading with other people, you can build or finish off sets through trading rather than spending coins or diamonds. It just took a minute to figure out how to trade for specific cards vs trading through the feed. I’ve still yet to figure out how to easily find what others are collecting so I can trade more efficiently. Many people do not have or update their wish list and I am not sure if there’s another way. All in all this is a great way to pass time especially with the pandemic. Oh and I love the update in which you can share cards outside of the app!
